Posted Jan 2009 Snibston Discovery Park Audio Tour We are very pleased to announce an exciting new project for 2009, the Watch This Space Snibston Discovery Park Audio Tour. We will create an audio tour around Snibston Discovery Park, guiding participants around the site, highlighting the historical, cultural and natural heritage of the area. Each track will draw attention to the events and the people that helped shape the area in which the listener stands. The finished audio tour will offer the public the rare insight into unknown anecdotes and forgotten heritage through an exciting new creative interpretation. To find out more about Snibston Discovery Park visit www.leics.gov.uk/museums/snibston Posted Dec 2008 Leicester Cultural Quarter Audio Tour Preview Over the last year we have been busy creating an Audio Tour around Leicester's Cultural Quarter that celebrates the unique history of the area. The Audio Tour uses an exhilarating blend of interviews, found sounds, creative text and atmospheric music to reveal the many layers and lives that have made this area such a vibrant place. The CQ art audio tour, along with information on other artworks commissioned for Leicester's Cultural Quarter, is now available to download at www.leicester.gov.uk/cqart. Download and enjoy the tour! The St. Georges Cultural Quarter - Watch this Space – Audio Tour was commissioned in 2008 by Leicester City Council, with funding from Leicester City Council, European Regional Development Funding Objective 2, Liveability, S106 Developer Contributions. Posted Oct 2008 Hansel and Gretel Audio Walk at Fermynwoods Contemporary Art Following on from our extremely successful Hidden Tracks Audio Tour events in 2006, we have teamed up once again with our friends at Fermynwoods Contemporary Art to create a wacky family-friendly re-working of the classic Hansel and Gretel story. Participants using an MP3 player listen to an intriguing rendition of this popular tale, while exploring the nearby woodlands and fields in a new and unique way, with lots of surprises on route. The walk ends up at the amazing installation at Sudborough Green Lodge, where artist Richard Woods has covered the building in daring retro designs. There will be a morning (10am- 12 noon) and afternoon(2- 4pm) event on Sunday 2nd November and Sunday 9th November as well as special education days for school groups.
