We're once again on the look out for young talented performers based in Northamptonshire for our annual event The Gunpowder Plot. If you love dance and drama and have a passion for Physical theatre why not come along to The Core in Corby this Saturday 10th October from 2pm - 4.3pm. MBD are working with the hugely talented David Mckenna again as our choreographer for this years show who will be running the workshops.

On Tuesday 18th August from 13.00 - 17.00 we're making a promotional trailer at Leicester Castle's Great Hall. MBD are looking for members of the public who can spare an hour between 13.00 -17.00. On the day you will get the chance to look around the building, sample the new tours and in return we would just like to discreetly film you in this amazing site. We're looking for a range of people and children to come along so if you fancy looking at the Victorian prison cells and discovering all about this magnificent site why not come along.

Its a week of site visits this week, Paul and i went back to a few of the Birmingham Museum Trusts sites to finalise ideas before we present next week. It was a beautiful day which bodes well and Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall and Sarehole Mill all looked splendid in the sunshine. Now all we need to do it write the presentation.

The artistic team headed over to Bangor to meet up with our technical partners on the NESTA R+D project. Locly have created an ibeacon tour of The National Slate Museum which was great to see in action. We then spent some time exploring creative ideas for the tour at Leicester castle and some really exciting ways of how to trigger those ibeacons..

This week I'm interviewing a whole range of people who worked at Leicester Castle when it was known as Leicester Castle Courts. It's been absolutely fascinating talking to retired policemen, court clarks, court ushers, probation officers and journalist. The interviews will be edited down and used in the final tour, just the12 hours of interviews to edit..

Rehearsals are well underway at The Core in Corby for this years bonfire night celebrations. The Gunpowder Plot takes place at Boughton House in Northamptonshire on the 4th and 5th November. This year we're working with David Mckenna as our choreographer and the show is looking amazing. The cast have come from all over the East Midlands and are an amazing group of talented performers, so I'm in no doubt that this years show will be absolutely spectacular. If you would like something different this year, book your tickets now as i promise you won't be disappointed.
